Come by the Hills
Traditional   - I love the thoughts and images in this one... I am not sure whether "loughs" is pronounced "lows" or "luffs" - anyone know?   This might be a good opener or closing song for a bardic....

  C                   F               C                 F           C
Come by the hills to the land where fancy is free
                                       F                        C                                            G  G7
And stand where the peaks meet the sky and the loughs meet the sea
                    C                                       F               C               G
Where the rivers run clear and the bracken is gold in the sun,
                 C               F                   C          F                C
And the cares of tomorrow must wait till this day is done.

  C                   F                       C   F             C
Come to the hills___  where life is but a song
                                    F                 C                                    G  G7
And sing where the birds fill the air with their joy all day long
                     C                                    F             C                    G
Where the trees sway in time and even the wind sings in tune
                  C               F                C          F                 C
And the cares of tomorrow can wait till this day is done.

  C                    F                C                  F              C
Come by the hills to the land where legend remains
                                F              C                                       G  G7
Where stories of old fill the heart and they yet come again
                     C                                           F               C             G
Where our past has been lost and our future has still to be won
                 C                F                   C         F                C
And the cares of tomorrow must wait till this day is done.

                 C                F                   C         F                C
And the cares of tomorrow must wait till this day is done.
