Young Metal came over the mountain
      F                       G               C
Upon the Dream Trail rode she.

                  C                  F
Chorus:  Nightfall, oh Nightfall
            G                            C       G     C
Oh! Where is the lady for thee, for thee?
                           F
Nightfall, oh Nightfall
              G                              C
Oh!  Where is the lady for thee?

Young Nightfall he sat in his castle
And gazed out upon all his land.
‘Tis nothing on earth that I want for,
Except for a true lady’s hand.

Young Metal she traveled with Thuvia,
And a right fine barbarian was she
They followed the trail down to Bhurtok,
Until Nightfall Keep they did see.   Chorus

Young Nightfall he gazed from his window
Two travelers lonely saw he
And one was a bonnie young lassie.
To his guards, he said bring them to me.

Now Thuvia, she was a scoundrel
And truly she did love her gold.
She offered her service to Nightfall
And to slavery Metal she sold.   Chorus

Now Nightfall, he gazed upon Metal
As her training for battle did start
He saw a brave spirit within her
And felt a strange pull at his heart

Now Metal she chafed at her bondage
And Thuvias’ name she did curse
But then as her skills they did sharpen
She thought to herself: “Could be worse!”  Chorus

Young Nightfall came down to the courtyard
To try this new slave at her skill
Their eyes they did meet for a moment (pause)
And the beat of their hearts it did still.

Young Metal she gazed at Lord Nightfall
And her sword it did drop from her hand.
She whispered a thank you to Thuvia
For bringing her into this land.    Chorus

Lord Nightfall, he found himself taken
By a smile and two shining grey eyes
He knew that his soul had been captured
As into his heart love did rise.

Young Metal, her eyes they did widen
As she felt the great love in his heart
They silently vowed to each other
That never would they be apart.   Chorus

(Slower)  Lord Nightfall made Metal his Lady
And raised her to nobility
And if you should spy the two walkin’
A picture of true love you’ll see.
