Kyrin's Keen
Written to commemorate the passing (character death) of Jamie Kyrin McNeely, Druid and Bard of Barad Duin  January 1999
Sung  A Capella to the tune of Pastures of Plenty by Woody Guthrie

It's a mighty sad song that I heard on the wind
The Grove, now is silent and stillness within
Oh! Kyrin he flew to the north there to aid
His great heart has burst, and to earth he is laid.

For the trees of the vale, fair Ostaera did call
The black hand of man had set fire to them all
Alone Kyrin flew with no help for his deed
His power he gave - and the sky paid him heed.

As a wee bird he flew, all in feather of plaid
Now his bright eye is dim, for his spirit has fled
On to the Summerlands with Mither an' Da'
No more shall we tales or bonnie songs from him hae.

'Tis a mighty sad song that I heard on the wind...
