Moonshiner  (Rambler, Gambler)
I used this song to filk the Auld House Knight....  It is really fun to add a little squeal at the end of each verse.  This is a good one to lay a bit of the brougue on, and if you sound a bit tipsy, well all the better!

          C                                    F
I've been a moonshiner for many a year,
           G                                   C
I've spent all my money on whiskey and beer,
                                                 F
I'll go to some hollow and I'll set up my still,
              G                                     C
And I'll make you a gallon for a ten shilling bill.

CHORUS:
          C                                                    F
I'm a rambler, I'm a gambler, I'm a long way from home,
        G                                         C
And if you don't like me, well leave me alone,
                                              F
I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm dry,
             G                                           C
And if moonshine don't kill me, I'll live till I die.

    C                                   F
I'll go to some hollow in this country,                       country is sung "coun-ter-ee"
         G                                  C
Ten gallons of wash, I can go on a spree,
                                             F
No women to follow, the world is all mine,
     G                                   C
I love none so well and I love the moonshine.   CHORUS

         C                                                F
Oh moonshine, oh moonshine, oh how I love thee,
         G                                  C
It killed me old father, but dare’nt kill me,
                                                        F
Oh bless all moonshiners, and bless all moonshine,
               G                                              C
Their breath smells as sweet as the dew on the vine.    CHORUS
